The territory of this sales position will be in the Northwest, West or
MidWest region of the United States of America working from a home
office reporting to the Emerald Foam Control division which is located
in Cheyenne, WY.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Position provides professional sales for the Foam Control product
line. Duties include but are not limited to sales call planning, sales
calls, new business/account prospecting, account management, distributor
management, forecast generation, sales call reports, expense reports and
all related tasks for the defoamer/anti-foam chemical business.
- Position establishes sales goal objectives, with input from the EFC
Sales Director and then directs all actions to the achievement of these
objectives for the purpose of growing the business in alignment with
business objectives.
- To each customer, position provides complete account management
including strategic nature of relationship, sales terms, communication,
new business or products, customer payment terms, pricing strategy or
return goods authorization. Sales professional provides Emerald with
the customer link of any intelligence trends or specific business
activities that affect our relationship and market position with this
customer and in the industry.
- Position interfaces within Emerald with production, quality, customer
service, R&D, other sales professionals, technical service and any other
personnel required to successfully service the Customer.
- Position must leverage basic chemistry knowledge and ability to pursue
applications for Foam Control Products. The selected candidate's key
duty will be exploring technical applications at customers, working our
products through a specific process to get approved and then managing
the process to insure our specified product translates to a sales
contract and real sales.
- Position also will perform limited marketing as required for either
new product or market analysis, pricing, quality, packaging or other
variables as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must have:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the Technical Chemical Sales
focusing on sales and/or related fields with a track record of
successful achievements in growing businesses. Prior experience working
in the water treatment industry in chemical sales is highly desirable
but not required.
- A minimum of a BA/BS in a Science, Engineering, Business or related
discipline.
- Capable of understanding and communicating technical properties of our
products and effectively interacting with our customers on their
technical needs. Chemical knowledge and understanding required. Able
to perform technical analysis of customer's opportunity and then
translate that need for a technical solution as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of
making sales presentations as well as the individual skills to
effectively interface with executives, production operators and
professional people in manufacturing, purchasing and customer service.
- Able to travel overnight without restriction in the US as needed and
via all methods of transportation including commercial flights,
automobile, and public transportation.
- Strong PC skills and be comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office,
expense reporting, and have the ability to prepare with short notice
professional power point presentations for meetings at Customers and
within Emerald.
- Demonstrable experience as a self-starter that can perform with
minimal supervision, ability to set and achieve challenging goals and
perform problem solving that leads to success.
